How can we find $\frac{dy}{dt}$ when x=1, given that
$\frac{dx}{dt}=2$ and holds $x^2+2y=4$.

First we have to differentiate both sides with respect to variable t.

$x^2+2y=4$

$\frac{d}{dt}(x^2+2y)= \frac{d}{dt}(4)$

$2x \frac{dx}{dt}+2\frac{dy}{dt}= 0$

$2(2)+2\frac{dy}{dt}= 0$

$\frac{dy}{dt}= -\frac{4}{2}=-2$
